Can a root canal procedure trigger vertigo?

I am experiencing vertigo and discomfort in the inner ear, immediately following my first root canal procedure.

During my first visit, the root canal file broke in my tooth and after being referred to another specialist the file was removed and my root canal procedure was completed. I still have a dull pain in my chin all day, but my sore gum from the first procedure is now back to normal.

However, since the first procedure, I've been experiencing vertigo several times a day. The symptom occurs when I am walking or sitting up. It's usually worse at night and often comes with a strong headache. I never had a migraine headache before and I feel very tired all day.

I read that most vertigo is caused by inner ear issues, but could a root canal procedure triggered these symptoms?  I am also wondering if an infection from the initial procedures may have caused this. Please help!

There are various causes of vertigo, dental treatment is probaly not one of them. Consultation with ENT and neurologist is advised.
