Canker Sores

I didn't really see a related post about this but I've gotten a couple that are causing me pain and I know there is no cure to get rid of them faster, but I was wondering if anyone knew of ways to help at least relieve the pain of them.

I've been using the salt water mouth wash at least once-twice a day for the past couple days... it only helps a little. And that baking soda/water into a paste thing did not work... it burned like all hell to be honest...

I've gotten these in the past and they weren't that bad, but my problem is that I seem to have a couple together in the front of my bottom lip so naturally when I'm eating or talking it gets rubbed against and lots of pain. Does anyone have any ideas on how to help?

OTC topical application containing lidocaine can relieve pain. Seeing a dentist to get prescription specifically for aphthous ulcer or stomatitis is more helpful.
