Canker sores

Canker sores

I have a severe out break of canker sores. At first I thought my wisdom tooth was coming in; I had a very high fever and headaches. Now my fevers gone and I figured it wasn't my wisdom tooth. My gums are swollen any tongue is extremely white and has soreful bumps on it and canker sores under it and I have what looks like a canker sore on my lip but it's not painful at all. pleases help

I would recommend seeing your dentist for an evaluation.  If it is your first time getting canker sores, sometimes it can be quite severe and accompanied by a fever.  Usually the symptoms themselves resolve in a week or two but in the meantime, it can be quite painful.  Make sure you drink plenty of fluids to prevent dehydration and eat any foods you can tolerate (no spicy or salty foods if possible).  You may find that eating cold food is more helpful as it helps to numb some of the pain.  Your doctor should make his recommendations on what type of pain relievers you may need.  If the symptoms have persisted, your doctor may make a referral to your primary physician to figure out the reason why you're having an outbreak.

Again, its best to get your dentist to evaluate the situation to make sure it is indeed canker sores.
