Cannot eat anything salty

(Not really a dental infection, but no other topic was close either) The past couple weeks i have not been able to eat anything salty without my mouth burning and it has gotten to the point that it is just not worth eating anything salty at all. And evern if i dont eat something really salty (ie fries etc...) i can taste the salt in other food like chocolate. Also my mouth feels like i have burnt it like on hot coffee but i have not and feels this way all the time. Wondering if anyone has any suggestions and/or if it is something that i need to ask a doctor about. thanks

You should probably go to a dentist to get it checked out.  It could be what we call Burning Tongue Syndrome or Burning Mouth Syndrome.  Finding out the underlying cause of the symptoms will definitely help with solving your problem.
