Cavity/bump.

For the past couple of days I've been getting a weird feeling on one of me teeth, i didn't mind it much because it had already been filled in and didn't think it possible to get another cavity. Well it hurts a lot now, going to the dentist tomorrow. My question is that with this cavity i have also seemed to have generated a small bump on the roof of my mouth, It bothers me when i poke it. I have no idea what it could be, i'm asking the dentist tomorrow. Any ideas?

There may be decay below the filling that has caused an abscess to form.

well, i couldn't make it today, got held up with school stuff. What could be the bump on the roof of my mouth?

Hi,
It's possible there is an infection brewing near the tooth root.  The roots can go very deep.  Alot of times the infection seeks a way out to the surface via a fistula.  You could be forming one, thereby the bump on the roof of your mouth (assuming it's an upper tooth).  

I do think you need a dentist to see it ASAP.  There really is no way to tell what is going on in your mouth without a physical examination but I do urge you to go very soon in case it is a fistula.

Alright well, he said the bump could be an infected gland, and there was no visible signs of a cavity, he took out the filling and put some paste "medicine" in there, if it doesn't work he said we'd have to do a root canal.. :s
