Cavity in molar causing refered throat pain?

by unclerob, Oct 09, 2008 08:14PM
I have been suffering from "off the charts" throat pain.  I have spent thousands going thru test after test looking for a cause.  Today (3 months later) I noticed a large cavity on my bottom rear molar the same side of my throat pain.  Although the tooth doesnt hurt directly, could this cavity be some how in the nerve that is running through the back of my throat.  By the way, I have not seen a dentist yet because i have not up to now thought a tooth could be the cause of my exterme throat pain.

Seeing a dentist to take care of the cavitity is advised. If throat pain persists and no ent pathology identified, seeing an orofacial pain specialist is advised.
