Chipped teeth pain

by Ajayk, Jul 01, 2007 12:00AM
I have a 6 yrs son, while playing he fell down once around 2 months ago, and one of the upper tooth got slightly chipped.
It did not pain earlier, but today he is complaining of the pain there.

just wanted to know what kind of treatment is it possible to be given as this is only milk teeth?

Thanks,
Ajay

It should be close for these teeth to be lost. It is possible it is loose and that is why it is hurting.

the trauma may have damaged the nerves in these teeth. there are treatments for that. OR, the treeth may be tender becaseu they are getting ready to fall out-- which happens at around 6 years old. either way, he should be examined by a dentist. you may want to gently wiggle them and see if they are loose.
