Chlorhexidine rinse

Chlorhexidine rinse

Is there any harm in routinely using a Chlorhexidine mouth rinse?  I havn't been flossing regularly (but I am now) and am seeing a bit of blood when brushing in a particular spot.  Of course if it continues I will go to the dentist, but am wondering if a chlorhexidine rinse might help for a bit (husband has some).
Thank you.

Chlorhexidine is in a product called Peridex. It is an excellent product for gingival inflammation. It will discolor your teeth and should not be used for months at a time.Correctly, if the bleeding persists a visit to your dentist is appropriate.
