Crown Pain

by cnrogers, Sep 26, 2007 06:31PM
I had a permanent crown put on today and about passed out from the pain. It hurt when they took the temp crown off, when they put the chemicals and cement on, and when they put the permanent crown in place. The dentist said the pain should subside in about 5 hours when the cement dried. It's now nine hours later and the crown is still throbbing. I am also sensitive to cold. Is this normal? How long should the pain and sensitivity last?

Cold sensitivity is pretty normal...it should subside with time.  The sensitivity from the whole procedure is normal also.  I see that it's been a few days...is it doing better now?
