Crown tooth pain

Crown tooth pain

I recently had my molar prepped for a crown.  When the temporary crown was put on I was in constant pain and was waken up at night, it felt like the two teeth in front of the crown tooth were hurting.  I went to the dentist each week, he adjusted the bite because I do grind my teeth at night and it still hurt.  I have been taking Tylenol every 8 hours to keep the nagging aching pain on my left bottom side.  The crown is not sensitive to hot or cold and the dentist said he could not find any problem each time he took x-rays and they looked fine.  I just keep hoping that eventually the pain will subside without the tylenol.  This pain has been going on since April 1st.  Could I have a fractured tooth causing this?  Or maybe I will need the root canal.  This is a very nagging situation.
Thanks for any advise you can offer.

Assuming there was no problem before temporary crown, your problem may come from occlusion of temporary crown. Going back to your restorative dentist to have more occlusal adjustment is advised. If your problem disappears after removal of temporary crown, it is highly suggestive that occlusion is the culprit.
