Densitizing Tooth

Hello I have a senstive tooth to cold drinks, due to a small chip on the back of my last
bottom tooth, it doesnt ache, only senstive to cold. I just had my dentist do a procedure
called desitizing my tooth, he put some type of gel on it and said to give a week or so
and that he might have to do it again if sensitivy doesnt go away
my question is fillings didnt work they keep coming out
But my question after desitizing this tooth is been 3 hours now
would beer be bad to drink or soda or even juice
