Hi
I recently had a root canal done after having a temporary crown put on my tooth. For a week after the root canal the tooth felt great. I then went back to my dentist to have the permanent crown put on. My initial thought was that the permanent crown was much larger than my original tooth and the temporary as well. That night I experienced pain and soreness around the tooth and couldn't chew at all on it.
I went back to my dentist and he said everything looked fine and I should give it some more time. It is now almost a week and although the soreness has subsided a bit, I can chew on it but I still feel uncomfortable with it and feel the crown is too large.
My question is this: Is it normalNormal saline flush to experience soreness from a permanent crown when the temporay felt fine? I've had other crowns in the past and never had a problem. My dentist keeps telling me that it is fine and wants me to give it more time. Should I insist that he replace the corwn or should I take his advice and wait a littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys longer?
