Dental Health Problems: Sever Pain

Hello! Don't know where can address my (dental) health issues beacause my current treating physicians care less to treat well. Have severe pain in my upper and lower jaws and feel to take out some of my teeth. Previously was diagnosed with periodontal disease (however, only SRP was done). Also, developed TMJ  after I took out all of my wisdom teeth as told they were infected and decayed and could not be treated. In addition, I have mallocllusion and my bite is not correct (moves side ways on L & R).  Had some wrong fillings between molars and when changed the dentist(s) instead of correcting what the previous one did, they had accentuate the mistake of the other dental practioners. If I complain to them, I'm the one who has an attitude (even if they do their job WRONG), if I don't complain, they IGNORE my dental health problems or start doing the same improper work as the previos densitst. I'd only like to receive PROFESSIONAL Treatment based on the BEST of their KNOWLEDGE and available tools without being ignored, create more pain, or offer an ancient, careless or very painful method. Whom can provide the best treatments under my circumstance (and body's tolerance) so I don't have to scream of pain at night? When going to the dental office the dentists with their assitants tried to ignore and confuse me. General dentist sent me to a specialist far from home that did nothing as well, and had to even pay quite a bit for spec doc opinion when was in severe pain. When a person is getting to be treated as bad instead of providing proper and professional care, dentists neglect and lie that you do not have anything. They don't even provide the minimum respect and consideration for being a patient and getting paid practicing on mouth and teeth. Just consider this dental / health treatment quite unfrair. I'm not an object, but a person with pain and seek proper and professional treatment!

You can try finding a local dental school.  They tend to take longer to perform treatment but there should be some great dentists in the school performing research and and probably more up to date and knowledgeable.  Plus there will be plenty of dentists there who can offer up opinions on your situation.

Thank you for your reply. I have recently seen my mother's new dentist and he does not even help. I'm living in Florida now. However, had similar problems with dentists when i lived in Michigan since some of my dental problems originated there after my wisdom teeth were reomoved and started to get the TMJ syndrome. Also had 1 filling between 2 molars done by a dentist due to 1 decay between 2 teeth. After that had to do 1 crown to remove that bad filling. By switching from a dental practice to another, my dental issues have gotten worse and new dentists instead of correcting the issues from previous dentists ignored many of them (with the exception of 1 crown where I had to really insist to have it done). I also have periodontal disease, and normal cleaning and/or SRP tried before is no longer sufficient. Can they do injections in my gums instead? I really don't know where to go to receive the most appropriate and professional dental care as most of the dentists don't seem to care. I'm enrolled in SafeGuard-Metlife Dental Insurance. Any suggestions in terms of best treatement would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for all your support offered!

Where are you located?  Have you tried asking family and friends for their dentist recommendations?  Review websites?  Local dental society?  Perhaps going to a dental school with multiple dentists so you can seek multiple opinions?
