Dental fissure sealants

Hi, I had a fissure sealant put on one of my teeth yesterday and am finding it so uncomfortable because my teeth no longer touch when I close my mouth, and the sealant feels like it's too thick. Just wondering if it will flatten out, and how long it's likely to take? I'm at my wits end and close to getting the whole tooth removed, it's so unpleasant. Thanks

Go back and have the dentist shave it down a little. It sounds like your bite is a little off right now. This is pretty common and takes only a minute to do. Good luck.

Going back to your dentist to have a bite adjustment is advised.
