Hi,
Sure.  The length of time implants require for placement has your mouth open for an extended period of time.  This can dry out the throat as we have a tendency to mouth breathe.  The needle to give the novocaine can also give the feeling of a terribly sore throat.

Try rinsing VERY gently with warm salt water.  1/4 tsp to 8oz of warm water is good and then let it fall out of your mouth.  NO SWISHING it around.  Just gently place the salt water in your mouth.  It will help rehydrate the throats mucous membrane.

GOOD LUCK.
My best to you,
Gellia
