Dental surgery during Pregnancy?

I have an appointment for a Gingivectomy tomorrow but I am 8 weeks pregnant.  Is this okay?  And yes my dentist knows I am pregnant.

Generally we like to delay elective treatment until the 2nd trimester. But its a judgement call by your dentist.  If you're uncomfortable, you can always check with your OB/GYN too

Probably but you should discuss it with your dentist specifically.  They may elect to do the implants during the second trimester I would imagine.
