Dental treatment without anesthesia..How was it possible in the past?

by 2 Sensitive, Aug 03, 2005 12:00AM
I need to know how many dentists and oral surgeons out there have performed successful dental extactions WITHOUT using any anesthesia and how your patient handled the pain..I am more terrified of my reaction to the local anesthesia than I am the pain and need some answers on this subject.I would like to know how extactions were done in the days BEFORE anesthesia was invented in the past and how the patients handled it..Thanks so much. Also any  alternatives to the usual anesthesia??

Know one does extractions without some type of anesthesia. I do not know the type of reaction  that you are concerned about. There are numerous types of anesthesia that can be used to accomodate your situation.
