Dentists

Dentists have been doing great jobs from the beginning of time. Without them, we might be crying in distress to get rid of "intolerable pain" of tooth decay. Or I should say bad breath too. So, I thank them. In az dentist , they are doing well too. How about you which place offer the best dentist services?

Did you write this in here to get responses about negligent dentists?  I am from Ohio and I can tell you about a few I have to have dental work re-done due to their substandard work.  Yes, some of them do great, fantastic, out of this world work, but what about those who don't.

The dentists I am going to now are great, actions speak louder than words I found out. Just because one tells you he can do all that and then ends up costing you more is really stress.

Bad dentists make it worse on all the rest.  It is a shame to say, but they do.

The State Dental Boards need to start weeding out the bad ones instead of sticking up for them along with the Dental Societies in my opinion.

Since my incident I have spoken with a lot of people who have had negligent incidents
with dentists and some never reported them, just never went back and had the problem fixed by someone else.  I can see why due to our system.

One of the girls I spoke with went to the same dentist I did and she had to have two teeth pulled because of him.   He caused me alot of pain and trauma due to hyper occlusion of two crowns which I am told is going to take 18 months to heal.

I know it sounds crazy doesn't it?  But............ I am still in pain from the occlusional trauma that started in June of 2008 and for 7 months the dentist told me nothing was wrong.  Glad I went to a specialist after Scottma answered my question on this site. (He is a dentist that answers questions on this site) he thought a Prosthodontist could figure out the problem and sure enough he did.

This dentist Scottma has been so helpful on this site to me and I am grateful for it.

After I called the original dentist up to tell him what the problem was, you know what he said to me?  He said, "they will all tell you that."  Well who is they? He was referring to the specialist I went to.  I could not believe my ears and what this dentist stated to me.

Yea right.   He wouldn't admit he couldn't figure out why I was in so much pain, but when someone else (a specialist) found out what the problem was he wanted to deny it.

Anyway,  Dentist are great and I do not know what we would do without them, especially the ones who care and take the time to do work right for their patients instead of trying to wing it, like one in North Canton, Ohio did to me.

I think he knew what the problem was, just didn't want to take the time to do it right. Even charged me to adjust the inferior crown he put on my teeth.  What a joke!!!

I believe like Scottma stated, it is the dentists responsiblity to find where the bite is off at and fix the occlusal problem if they are the ones who put the crown on. It may take a while, but it can be done.

Hey, sorry for the long message but I had to vent about my situation. sorry.
You want to know who offered me the best dental service in Ohio, I am not from AZ .

So far, Jensen Endodontics, Tuttle Crossing Dental Group- Prosthodontics, Menke Endodontics, and soon to find out eventually a periodontist.  My gums aren't bad, due to a high crown that was left too high for almost 4 years and hurting my jaw and ear from the same original dentist, I have to have bone grafting done because of the way the crown was put on. I also stated to him along time ago about this and he stated there was nothing wrong with it, how could he not know.  The Prosthdontist had to grind the crown down to where the metal was showing due to the high occlusal on it.

Believe me, I can tell you about high occlusal and what problems it can cause and it is not pretty.  It can do a lot of damage to your gums and tissue underneath your crown and teeth, this is what caused me to have to get two root canals and one of the root canals I had done is still healing due to the occlusal trauma.   The Healing process can be very stressful.

Here is the bad part, the dentist who originally did the work, should have been experienced in this area to find out what my problem was but for some reason was not.

He didn't even offer to send me to someone, I had to call him to even get a referral, I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, I believed him and I should have just went to another dentist from the beginning instead of listening to him tell me there was nothing wrong for 7 months and I wouldn't have been in the situation I am in now.
