Dentures for grandmother

My grandmother needs to get new dentures. I'm looking for recommendations for how to look for a good dentist that does dentures. I really don't like just opening the phone book and finding service providers. I've asked friends and family, but everyone I know is not familiar with dentures. Do I just find a good general dentist that also does dentures, or are there specialists that do dentures and implants? I tried looking at Angie's List, but it is relatively new to my area. Also, how much is a reasonable amount to pay for full dentures? I believe she only has a couple of molars remaining.
