Does listerine dry your mouth out?

Does listerine dry your mouth out?

I use Listerine antiseptic mouthwash because i have a little gingivitis. But someone told me that the alcohol in Listerine dries your mouth out and slows and/or stops saliva production. Is this true? If it is true, can you give me some suggestions on which mouthwashes fight gingivitis without drying your mouth out, if any?

listerine has a bery high level of alcohol. i wouldnt suggest using this to any of my patients. alcohol does dry stuff so its probably possible that it is drying

try using crest pro health mouth wash. you can also ask you dentist for a prescription for mouthwash
