Dry Socket?

Dry Socket?

Recently I got my right lower wisdom teeth extracted it was a Friday that teeth was easy to get out according to my dentist. Then 6 days later on Thursday when I could completely open my mouth I went to the dentist again because I was told that I could alredy go for the other teeth on the left side.So I went and they got the stitches out of the right side and took the other teeth out. With the tooth extraction on the left I did the same thing I did with the right side but it hurt much more so the pills I was taking called ennatyum of 12.5 mg. were doubled to 25 mg. and it did't hurt so much any more. Any ways 6 days later I have an awful breath that according to my mom it smells like blood and in the morning when I wake up I have a horrible taste in my mouth. The left side is still healing and supposedly it is because that side was harder and the teeth was deeper. The horrible taste comes out the left side and at the right side there is no more pain but there is a hole.

The question is if I had a dry socket at the right side or ist it that it didn't heal correctly and at the left the teeth beside the extraction hurts when I bite and has that horrible taste and also have bad breath is this a dry socket or not?

Its possible that it may be dry socket.  My initial guess though is that there's food stuck in that socket thats possibly in there and needs to be cleaned out.  Try to rinse gently and flush the area out.  If not, then go back to your dentist and let him/her do it.  Hopefully that'll take care of the bad smell/odor.  It'll also help promote the healing of the socket.
