Ear generated headaches, noise

by onthesunnyside, Apr 19, 2009 07:07AM
Until recently I used to get funny head noises, like whooshing sounds, buzzing and a sound like an alarm going off in the distance. I had some tingling, ringing in one ear. It was off and on until just over two weeks ago, when on the last day of my holiday I got a distinct pain in the left ear, the one that occasionly rang. I thought it would go away, so I just put up with it. But it didn't go away. So, I went an ear, nose and throat clinic, where they examined my ears and low and behold they found something deep in my left ear. I couldn't believe it. It was a little plastic cover from my iPod headphone. Well the extracted it and gave my ears a good clean out. Practiacally stratight away my head cleared like a bell and my hearing became sharper. I was totally surprised. So, I would suggest to everyone to get their ears checked-out and cleaned, perhaps once a year. Of course if you have headaches and suspect they might be connected to your ears, then you should visit straight away.
