Experiencing Tin Foil Shocks with New Crowns

by have3cuties, Nov 10, 2007 12:00AM
I just got 4 new crowns and have gone in 2 times to get my bite fixed. One because it felt funny after I wasnt numb anymore and then the second because my I realized my bite was different when I was standing up and I was also getting the feeling of tin foil shocks when I would bite down. My dentist fixed my bite again. The bite felt fine and I didnt feel any more tin foil shocks but  when I went to eat something I totally felt them again. Is this normal?? I have no metal in my mouth anymore. He took all my metal filling out and replaced them with white filling and the crowns are porcelin. What do you think is wrong. I'm scared this will never go away. Please help.

P.S.
When I take my thumg and put pressure on my crowns I also feel the tin foil shocks slightly.

It might be a reaction from the cement that was used.I think it will eventually go away(I don't know how long). It is unacceptable for you to have this discomfort forever and this would have to be addressed by your dentist.
