Former snuff user with jaw numbness.

Former snuff user with jaw numbness.

I am a former forest firefighter who used chewing tobacco from June-December 2004 and June 2005-February 2006. I usually went through 4-5 cans a week. Recently, I lost my job and went on a monthlong heavy drinking and snuff binge and quit about one week ago.
I have become concerned recently as I am experiencing numbness from my left jawbone to the middle of my lower jaw. Obviously, I am concerned about cancer and fear the worst. While I know you cannot make a diagnosis online, do you think I should be very concerned? I have always had dental issues such as jaw popping and ill fitting teeth, but I don't want to take any chances. Do you know the rates of cancer incidence among periodic heavy users for 2 years. I was 22 when I started and am now 24. Also, I have no health insurance so I cannot afford to be checked out so any help would be most appreciated.

I think that much more important  than the stats which I do not know, it is vital that you see an oral surgeon for an examination.
