Gold crown shape

by riegal, Apr 23, 2008 07:56AM
Had a gold crown made for an upper back molar (2nd from the back).  It didn't fit well; my lower teeth hit it.  The dentist sanded it down until it fit (no high spots for my lower tooth to hit when chewing).  But now it is flat . . . like a little block of gold back there.

Will this be a problem?  It can't be seen, but will it cause problems with my lower teeth that meet it when I chew or close my mouth?  Will it cause problems with the teeth next to it?

Thank you.
