Gum is spongy and will not heal

Hi, I have had problems with my gums for the past nine months. I first noticed my gums on the bottom of my mouth would "bubble" up a little between the teeth. This has been somewhat better since I saw my dentist ( he put me on Perioguard rinse) but I have noticed that around one of my teeth it is inflammed and a red streak is on the gum. I also notice that my top gum around my front teeth have a small (almost unoticable oval spot) Its color is a little darker than my gum. I brush and somedays my gums look healthy and pink, and other days, it is back to being spongy and inflammed. CAn you please tell me what is going on with my mouth? How do I stop it from getting worse?

Also, I have been diagonsed with a gallbladder provblem, could this be related in any way?

I would have to know what meds you are taking if any. Certain medications will cause your gums to be inflammed. If you find the inflammation persists then maybe a visit to a periodontist is in order. The inflammtion is a symptom that should not be ignored.

ask your dentist if you haveperiodontal disease ie bone loss and pocketing around the teeth. he should do a periodontal charting and possibly refer you to a periodontist
