Had an extraction of tooth cracked into jaw line

Tooth extraction seemed to go fine. Had it done Monday morning. Late Tuesday night the whole left side if my face became swollen and very painful. Early Wednesday morning a lump was high up in gum line and another lump in my cheek. When I pushed on cheek got a mouth full of pus. The dentist put me on antibiotics and pain killers. Pain killers are not working well enough and still leaking pus. What can I do? I asked for stronger pain meds but he gave me the same thing that wasn't working before.

HI,
Swelling, pain and inflammation can occur with removal of teeth. Drainage of pus, antibiotics and painkillers will help. Also application of ice packs will help. Healing ill take some time and you need to wait till then. Follow up with your dentist. Hope this helps.
