Had bubble drained, but its still there..is this normal?

I've been dealing with an infected/abcessed tooth for a few days now.  I was at the er on tuesday night and given tramadol for the pain and I explained to them I was already on penicillin I had started sunday night.  last night i noticed a bubble on the gum next to my bad tooth...i called all over today and finally got in with a dentist and he drained it...now I get home and the bubble is still there!  Is this normal or am I going to have to have it drained again?  I really cant afford it.  I just paid $150 for my visit today and I dont have dental insurance.  Just looking for some answers or advice on what to do.

Drained as in with an incision and drainage placed?  If its a small "pimple" in the gum area, it'll resolve itself after the antibiotics work but you need to address the cause of the abscess which I'm guessing is a bad tooth somewhere nearby.
