Heart arrhythmia and gum disease or dead wisdom tooth

by ejip, Apr 09, 2006 12:00AM
i have been very ill for almost the last 2 years after a lifetime of perfect health..about a year ago i started having very bad heart arrhythmias heart racing all day and all night to where i cannot sleep at all..along with alot of other symptons like heart stopping for brief seconds head spasms extreme dizzinness and vomiting..after this i became very sensitive to chemicals and additives in foods like potassium benzoate and other chemicals especially anything with potassium in it that will activate my arryhtmia and heart stopping..went to the doctors cardiologists emergency hosptitals and even a pyschologists to make sure it wasnt anything mental like anxiety and no one could diagnose me with a reason why..finally i went to the dentist after not going for 10-12 years..i brushed daily and peroxide but the plaque and tartar was out of control..i started to feel better a couple months after the visit of getting a DEBRIDING done..i felt alot better but the symptons never really completely went away.. but the arrhythmia did stop..but now alomst EXACTLY a year later the symptons have come back and even stronger..because i am so freaked out about using any type of non natural product i have not been able to brush like i used to i nightly floss and brush with water..
because of this the gum bleeding has been horrible..i went to the dentist just recently and am scheduled for a root planning..i have a dead cracked wisdom tooth and about 4 cavities..which i am now taking Amoxicillin for until my next soon visit.. have you ever heard of gum disease or dead wisdom teeth causing this

I have never heard of an arrhythmia being caused by the symptoms you described. I would be concerned about a gingivitis effecting a person with heart problems. Especially valvular disease and mitral vavle prolapse. It would behoove you to make frequent visits to your dentist and the hygienist.
