Horrible smell from crown

by karac, Apr 08, 2007 12:00AM
After having a crown replaced on one of my top front teeth, I have noticed a nasty smell coming from that tooth. There is no discomfort with the crown.

My dentist took an xray and says there is a gap under the gum so I need to brush under the gum with a special anti-gingivitis type tooth paste.  This is practically impossible as the gums are very healthy and close to my teeth and I end up having sore and bleeding gums as well as a stink from this tooth.

Why has this happened and what should I do next?
