I would like an answer for that too. Ive always heard using baking soda on your toothpaste will make them whiter but i dont feel its worked. I have no idea why i am having trouble with this-i dont smoke never have and i brush my teeth anywhere from 2-5 times a day

Try the crest white strips.  That's probably the cheapest option, and they work really well.  You may need to buy a fluoride toothpaste to use because the white strips or any other kind of bleaching will make your teeth more sensitive.

Leanne everybodys teeth have some sort of color in them the only sure way to get them white is with some sort of cosmetic dentistry either  veneers, crowns or if you have good teeth some sort of tooth whitening system (see your dentist) dont try to bleach them at home using a home kit these can contain an acid  that can damage your enamel on your teeth im a dental technician and i have performed lots of whitening for friends with good results best bet is to speak to your dentist.

all the best bob

The Rembrandt tooth whitening kit works well as does laser whitening, but only do these things with the permission of your dentist.

Also, teeth are translucent and the natural yellow of the dentin shows through.  The only way to get perfectly white teeth is with crowns or veneers, as one poster has already said.  I have these and while they are beautiful, they are a pain in the rear to take care of.  And, once you have a crown or veneer, you always will need a crown or veneer.  If you can't afford to keep them up, don't ever opt for them.

There are lots of over-the-counter teeth whitening products.  And dentists can promise many shades of lightening through bleach/laser/zoom, and some mumbo-jumbo patented-name techniques.

And talking about home remedies...  Many people are experimenting with hydrogen peroxide, baking soda, fruit acids.... and all sorts of stuff found in their home kitchen or bathroom!

So what truly works....  unfortunately, almost none of these methods brighten your teeth without any adverse effects.  I've since wisened up to these whitening sales pitches, and know what to look out for in the product labels.  I learnt how some unscrupulous manufacturers are not being honest enough to consumers.

Of course, I was as clueless as you are 3 weeks ago.  But thankfully, I chanced upon this lifesaver website on teeth whitening information.  I signed up for the free report and newsletter, and learnt some truly shocking insider secrets... stuff profit-minded dentists and whitener manufacturers won't want people to know.

I only wished I'd learnt all this sooner.

A good friend of mine developed painful and sensitive teeth after using an bleaching gel, and the pain only subsided after 6 long weeks.  Turns out... he had particularly porous teeth, and the nerve endings inside his teeth reacted badly to the bleaching agent.

My uncle, who's a pack-a-day heavy smoker was using a well-known toothpaste that's supposedly formulated for smokers like him.  Well, his teeth are now painful and sensitive to hot and cold temperatures.  The stuff they put inside the smoker's whitening toothpaste was too abrasive for his gnashers.  And they didn't really work all that well in terms of teeth brightening either.

These days, we have to be also wary of money-minded sellers who hide the fine print, just to make a couple more sales.  So it's wise to know a bit more about their "insider secrets"

By the way, the teeth whitening report is supposed priced at $37, but website is offering it free to members who register online.  It was still free when I registered 3 weeks ago.  Not sure if they've switched to the full price.  Anyway, the site is http://www.TheToothWhitening.com
