I just found 4 vertical fractures in 4 teeth, how do they fix them?

I Know I have TMJ disorder since the dentist I last went to told me it looks like I have it and given all the symptoms I have I am not surprised. Anyway I applied to get my social security disability and after over 4 years I'll have my hearing soon. Even though the stress of this all, the pain I am in because of my illnesses has always caused me to grind my teeth day and night lately it has been worse. I know at times I am woken up by my teeth snapping shut like a trap, and let me tell you how freaky that is and how much my jaw hurt all the time. I can't afford the dentist until my SSD is approved and regular Dr's don't do anything about it. Anyway I know that of those snapping shut gave one of my front teeth a vertical fracture, from the top of my gum to the end of my tooth, but not only did I find the other big front tooth with one but this morning I found 2 more, and since I could only shine the light in back of my front teeth who knows what is wrong with all my others. My question is does anyone know how they fix them? I've been weary of going to the dentist after having braces put on when I was 16 and 3 years of extremely  painful manipulations I didn't go back, not even to have them taken off. I took them off myself at age 18. Then went to a dentist once to have them cleaned at age 20, and I have only 2 cavities. Now I am 46 and I still haven't been back. I know how bad that is so I don't need lectures please I will be going as soon as I can, but I just want to know what to expect from anyone that has had the same problems. Thank you!

try wearing a night guard. it can help with grinding and tooth breakage. there are some inexpensive ones at your local drugstore. if they work for you a dentist can make a better one later.vertical lines on your front teeth might not be as serious as you think. some people get craze lines that look like horrible cracks but are actually only on the tooth surface. when i first noticed i had them i thought all my teeth were falling apart. you need to see a dentist so hopefully your hearing goes well and you will be able to get regular dental care.
