I think I need serious help and GUIDANCE!

by ShyShy25, Jun 04, 2008 06:50PM
Im going to get straight to the point. August or September of last year I started feeling (I guess they are lymph nodes) under my chin on the right side. It swelled up and it got kind of big. So I left it alone thinking it will go down eventually. So January came and still didn't completely disappear. So I went to the doctor to take a urine and blood test (CBC). Everything came back normal. He prescribed antibiotics. The lymph nodes started to go down a lot while taking the meds. Soon as I stopped, they began to enlarge once again. I would say a little smaller then a dime. Then as soon as my right side node went down, the left side enlarged!

Now, a good month in a half ago, they both went down and i barely feel them. Now, I have tooth problems through my teenage years. Around November, my upper right side of my jaw, my tooth began hurting like crazy. So, i ended up going to the dentist right before thanksgiving. I didn't have in surance at the time, so I went on a payment plan. I paid half for him to do half the work (Just to make the pain stop) and the other half a week later. I didn't have the funds to complete the rest of the root canal the next week. A month or two later, pain settled in and began hurting again.  A few weeks later, my gum began to swell up and white ball of pus showed. It hurt a lot but didn't touch it or pop it. Now, a lymph node (I think) began to swell under my chin this time. Like the size of a pea. It hurt for a bit after I touched it. Now its just there.

For the past couple of weeks, Ive been feeling hot, but I wouldn't categorized as a  fever, but thats how it feels, but at the same time it doesn't. Ive been feeling tired a lot, but think its because I'm working full time and getting up early in the morning. Some times I get an ill feeling that I don't want to eat, but I do anyway.

By the way, I have a big hole in back of my mouth on the left lower side. Pieces cracked off through out time and now its a big black hole.

Is my tooth causing all of this? Or is it something else? Is my tooth causing my lymph nodes to swell like they have been? Also, in September,  i noticed that underneath my right eye began to swell a little bit with a reddish tint to the skin. Its still swollen/puffy on the right side and just slightly swollen/puffy on the left side. Now, when I went to the doctors office in January to get blood and urine test done, I didn't explain that I had tooth problems. So he though it was allergies. Could my tooth be causing under my eyes to look this way?

I need some help and advice. Thanks

Dental infection is commonly associated with submandibular and cervical lymph node reaction. However, other head and neck infections may yield similar reaction. Facial swelling is commonly associated with canine and bicuspid infection. Seeing a dentist is advised.
