what is a quick way to know if you got dry socket? Will it start feeling different immediately?

My stitches are getting loose. Is that bad?

What does the blood clot look like? Today i wiped something red out of it but it couldve been ketchup..

>_< when i asked for antibiotics the dentist said i didnt need any because the infected tooth was out. I DONT WANT DRY SOCKET EEEEEEK!!!!

I was so miserably with just the pain of a regular toothache. I had to go to the emergency room. I was just laying in my bed all day freaking out like some kind of cry-baby incredible hulk. I accidentally put a hole in my wall..

You smoked a few cigarrettes? How long after? Its been a day for me and I'm supposed to wait 24-48 hours before i smoke.

They stiched my gums. Does that mean that the  blood clot is being held in better?

Hey gumby, in addition to no cigarettes, you should not drink through a straw and keep your food on the soft side. I was also very concerned about getting Dry Socket especially because I snuck a couple of smoke. You'll be fine.
Take care,
Chris

Dry socket almost always occurs in the lower jaw molar extraction, particularly third molar. Prevention of dry socket includes aseptic surgical procedure, antibiotic prophylaxis, primary closure of wound site with or without collagen plug , appropriate administration of post-op antibiotics, and avoidance of cigarette and alcohol consumption.
