I'm not sure what this is.

A few weeks ago, I had a swollen gland near my throat. It was in pain pretty badly and I was unable to eat food without grinding it up first. In any case I had a lot of pain in that area, but also there was swelling under the right side of my tongue, which was also painful. I told my uncle (who is a physician) and he told me to use Listerine when I brush my teeth, that it works as an antibiotic and the gland would go down and the pain would go away. I decided to take him up on his advice. I bought the Listerine (well it was generic store brand mouthwash) but nonetheless the swelling of that particular gland went down and it no longer hurts. But during my usage of mouthwash the swelling under the right side of my tongue increased and felt numb, but as the gland went down so did the swelling.
Now it's been maybe two weeks since that. I'm still using mouthwash regularly, the gland is still slightly swollen but it is painless. However the swelling under my tongue is still present. The area around this hardened lump is red and is something of a whitish-yellow in the center. The swelling seems to increase when I eat (that jsut started maybe 2 days ago) and the flesh under the right side of my tongue swells slightly. Although when I finish my food the swelling goes down. Also there is sometimes some mucus that comes out from this swollen area. Which is usually colorless, although it has appeared in a viscous green from. And if this is realted in any way, I had a sore throat a few days ago, since then has alsmot completely gone away.

I'm sorry that post was so long, but does anybody know what my condition might be?

The swelling under the tongue is probably caused by sialolith( salivary stone), which partially obstructs the salivary secretorr duct. Seeing an oral surgeon is advised.
