Inflammation around central incisor

Inflammation around central incisor

For the past year I've been dealing with an inflammation around my central incisor.  I've been to a periodontist as well as three different dentists and they all seem baffled.  I've had a periodontist cleaning after being diagnosed with the early stage of gum disease 8 months ago and I recently just completed another semi-annual cleaning.  After being diagnosed with early stage gum disease I have done everything in my power to prevent progression of the disease.  I floss regularly, use a Sonic care tooth brush and mouthwash but yet this inflammation has not gone away.  Sometimes I barely notice it there and sometimes it flares up and ache.  My gum line has receded around the tooth and the longer I have the inflammation the more it recedes.  Please help! I've recently had a dental exam and mentioned to my new dentist and all she did was note it and say "we will keep an eye on it".   I'm scared that eventually I'm going to lose this tooth

At this point with the doctors that you have seen I would suggest you search out an expert in the field. I would look into a dental school or a large teaching hospital for a periodontist and another opinion.
