Intense pain with Permanent Crown

Intense pain with Permanent Crown

I had my permanent crown put in 5 days ago and since then I have felt nothing but intense pain, so much that tylenol, ibuprofen, oragel, or any other pain killer can't calm it. Not only is it sensitive to col/pressure but now the pain has spread into the front teeth and even to the bottom. Is this normal?? I am already going in because I am positive the Dentist f-ed up my tooth when he put the crown on because there was a loud crack when he was trying to put it on. What bothers me is the discomfort I feel with my other teeth.

Did you have any pain with the temporary?

A loud crack isn't a good sound to have.  The crown may have cracked but judging by your pain, the tooth may have cracked.  You'll need to go back to your dentist to get it evaluated.

I had a little bit of pain the first few days after the temp was put on but then it went away. It was nothing close to the pain I feel now. It's excruciating.

You may need a root canal on the tooth at this point.  You should go back to your dentist and find out if that is the case.
