Is pulling teeth my best option?

by peri750, Dec 18, 2007 05:55AM
I have periodontal disease and my dentist says that the only way to stop the infection is to have five teeth removed and partials put in. She feels scaling is only a temporary treatment. I did, however have 3 teeth scaled and it was a horrible experience with continued discomfort. Do you agree?

In the instance of removal of teeth - I would seek a second opinion.   Did you see a periodontis?   If not, go to one.  If so, see a different one.  It is possible this is the only answer if you have a severe case.  Best of luck.
