Is there anything I can do without seeing a specialist for tmj

I can't afford to see the tmj docotr right now. Is there anything I can do to help the tmj . I was told i clench my teeth. I know I do. It's worse since starting on lexparo for anxiety.I am getting more and more tightness in my jaw. The left side of my head has a wierd pressure like sensation all the time above my left ear and my jaw on left side is super tight and clicks when opening but not real loud and the left side of neck is sore and stiff. I don't think my teeth on the left side come together right since have a root canal and filling on another tooth so wether that is affecting it or just all the tension, I don't know. I thought about going to a neurologist. I wish tmj treatments were covered by insurance.

Place a piece of cotton roll between front teeth may help relieve tmj associated symptom temporarily. Pharmacological management may help, which includes tylenol or  tricyclic antidepressant drug, such as amitryptyline.
