Is this PAIN normal

by petesbbq, Aug 08, 2008 03:52PM
Over 2 weeks ago my dentist prepped me for two crowns.  Before he finished he had administered 9 shots to sufficiently numb the two affected areas.  The final two shots were into the roof of my mouth and allowed me to endure the procedure with dignity.  I waited the 2 weeks with temporary crowns in place and experienced constant aches (including head aches) in and around the area of my mouth.  I now have the permanent crowns and 2 days later I regret not having the 2 teeth pulled completely out and replaced with a partial!  Can I remain hopeful that this pain will go away?  Am I likely to experience endless dental bills as they relate to these two teeth?

This discussion is related to pressure pain since crown prep.

The pain may be pulpal or occlusal origin. Seeing your dentist to identify the source of pain is advised.
