Is this all related??

A few years ago my upper right wisdom tooth cracked the tooth in front of it and it got infected. The tooth was then filled. A severe toothache followed and I also had that repaired. The tooth was finally crowned and the wisdom tooth behind it was pulled in 2007.

I guess a year later the gum behind the crowned tooth, where the wisdom tooth used to be, swelled up. Over the past two years it will swell up every now and then and will go away. If I take my finger and press back in the area I get that funky smell. Lately it has gotten more frequent. I have never had any pain with this since the tooth was crowned. For the past few months Ive had an awful taste/odor in my sinuses and mouth. Its most noticable in the morning or when I extend my lower jaw forward and breath out, but its there all the time. The odor is kind of like the odor I get when pressing in the area I would guess. I do release greenish yellowish mucus from time to time.

Im starting to think that the odor in mouth and sinuses is related to this tooth. I think the tooth may getting chronically infected. The odor/taste in mouth showed up after a dentist visit last spring. They didnt noticed anything then. I never have fever or significant pain so im guessing the root is dead?? But it will swell up and sometime bust draining pus out.

Also is the past year Ive felt bad a lot, blood pressure has been a little raised, and Ive had some visual disturbances ever since this all started. Pretty much just generally I have felt crappy a lot.

I wont have the money to attempt to get a root canal for the next 3 weeks or so. So do you think they would put me on antibiotics first and then attempt to root canal the tooth???

Any advice on what could be going on and what I should do???
