Is this an emergency?

I'm scheduled to go and have a filling replaced in a few days but yesterday a small piece of that same tooth broke off, revealing the decay and the filling underneath.  It's just the corner of the tooth.  Most of the tooth remains in my mouth.  There was no pain and there has been no pain since it happened, about 20 hours ago.

Does this change things?  Should I ask to have it seen right away (since it could fall apart in the meantime) or is that unreasonable, since they might decide that it's possible to replace the filling as planned?

It's fine.  Fillings went ahead as planned.
