Is this tmj?

My problem started about 7 years ago.  I was in a car accident.  About 2-3 months later I started having this weird headache, Burning in the left back side of my head (occasionally).  Within the next 2 years theses headaches became more regularly.  Then I started with a twitching in my left upper arm near my shoulder,  now I have this constant ache in my left shoulder, and sometimes it feels like a vise on the left side of the base of my skull, when it's like this I get this bug crawling sensation near my left ear and onto my face.  Could this be some type of injury or tmj?  Any reply would be greatly appreciated.  There is no facial pain, but sometimes my left ear will hurt. Thank you very much.  This is starting to scare me.

This is very difficult to diagnosis and I think the best advice that I can give you is to find a dentist that specializes in TMJ dysfunction and possibily pain management.

Hello Tricia.  As a matter of fact, yes they both do.  I don't recall ever being told that I grind my teeth at night either.  I snore loudly, but not grind my teeth. Talk again
