About a week ago for no obvious reason every time I brush my teeth or eat something or if any pressure is put on my gums they start bleeding.  It started on just a few teeth and now its almost my whole mouth but it hurts and I dont know why it started.

Hello,

Gum bleeding can have different reasons. Are you taking any new medication ? Are you taking Aspirin ? Are you flossing daily ? Are you going to your cleanings every 6 month ? I had bleeding gums too. My Periodontist said I have some mild gum disease.  I had to get a deep cleaning and some antibiotics on some areas. And I no bleeding since. If you have dental insurance I would go to the dentist or periodontist.  If you don't have dental insurance or you don't want to go to the dentist, I got some tips for you: Buy the softest toothbrush you can find (you may have to try some, just because it says "soft"on the package it doesn't really mean they are soft) , use a antibakterial mouthwash like Crest or Listerine (I use Crest), if the taste is too strong for you, mix it with a little warm water, and floss every day but very gently, and keep up with your cleaning appoitments. Rinsing your mouth with warm salt water helps with any soreness and ibuprofen for pain. I hope you feel better soon.
