Jaw has started to click, quite worried

by adey1986, Sep 01, 2007 12:00AM
Hi, A couple of days ago my jaw has suddenly started to click when I open my mouth wide and move my jaw from side to side. The clicking is also accompanied by a dull ache in the same area. I am very worried that my jaw may suddenly lock or dislocate, is this possible? Should I go and see my dentist about this sudden clicking? Thank You

Adrian

sounds like TMJ specifically the meniscus~ get it checked but not a lot can be done for such problems.  Be careful and avoid opening wide for any reason
