Lava Crowns

Lava Crowns

Hi,

About two weeks ago I had four (front bottom teeth) lava crowns put on and I am really dissatisfied with them (size and color). I wanted to know if it possible to have them removed or are they too permanent?

My dentist showed them to me before he cemented them down and asked if I liked them and said if not we can redo them  (at that time, I was lying in the dentist chair and seeing 4 new teeth  - for about 10 seconds - they looked pretty good) but, once I got home and really examined them with my other teeth, I am very upset ($4,000.00 later).

So before I confront him, I wanted to know if its possible (or easily done - not too much pain) to have the removed so that I could have him make me new ones.

Your response  would  be appreciated

You can remove them by cutting the crowns off and restarting the process over again with another impression and crown fabrication.

You can discuss your concerns with your dentist.
