Loose tooth

One of my very front upper teeth has been crooked for as long as I can remember. I've just recently started noticing that it's very slightly loose. The movement is barely visible, but I can feel and hear it moving when I try to move it. The problem is that it's only seems to feel loose in the evening. I've been to the dentist, and she's xrayed it and said it looks fine, but without seeing it moving she doesn't know what to suggest. That same tooth has also started to recede a bit at the gumline. I'm very worried about it and not really sure what to do next.

Has anyone any similar experiences / advice on this?

Thankyou,
Dan.
