Loss of one of the lower front tooth

I am of 25 years. I have just lost one of my lower front tooth. It has been lose for quite some months because of which I could not use my front tooth for biting/incising my food. Now the tooth is gone I think I am in a better position to chew.

I am not sure whether this front tooth of mine was a milk tooth or a permanent tooth. Since my childhood I have lost just few tooth. Is it possible that this tooth of mine is a milk tooth and a new one would grow in its place.??
If it were a permanent tooth, what are my options to fill in the void.(my face looks bit wierd with the gap :(... )

Thanks & Regards,
Peter

Seeing a dentist and have x-ray taken is advised.
