Lower jaw Swelling 3 months after wisdom tooth extraction
My sone had his wisdom teeth extracted about 4 months ago. One month after axtraction, his lower jaw developed a bunch on the left side. The oral surgeon opened it back up, cleaned it out and put him on antibiotics. Now 3 months later, his jaw is suddenely and dramatically swollen up. I am taking him to surgeon today and anticipating another procedure similar to the second one.
Why would this happen 3 months later?
Also what can i do to help prevent this from happening again? He is going to camp in about 5 days and I am worried about trying to help him care for this himself while he is away.
