Lumps on back of tongue

by NoonooH, Apr 18, 2007 12:00AM
I recently recovered from a bout of Quinsy/very swollen throat/tonsilitus and was proscribed antibiotics which gave me oral thrush as a side effect. Since all other symptoms have disappeared I still have raised lumps at the back of my tongue and I can feel them going down my throat a little. They are the same colour as my tongue or a little paler and of varying sizes.

Should I be worried? I'm not sure what these are!

I think these are normal but if you are concerned consult an oral surgeon for a definitive diagnosis.

does not sound serious but i would consult wih the doctor who is treating you, or else an oral surgeon for a diagnosis.

I noticed mine awhile back, and if everyone looks in their mouth everyone has them, they are part of your tastebuds I was told.
